When you look at your pet, what do you see? The first thing I notice is their eyes. It’s often said that the eyes are the window to the soul- And I completely agree. Dogs and cats speak with their eyes. When Fido is happy, not only does his tail wag, but his eyes sparkle too. And it’s that sparkle that I love and I’m sure you do too. It’s also what helps to make a photo into a work of art. Whether those eyes are blue, brown, green or a combination, they speak. And it’s my goal to capture that.
If you take a look through my portfolio you’ll see the various techniques I use to do so. Beautiful backlighting, loved ones, toys and treats and all the very important little details… The bits and pieces that create your furry friend. I describe my style as “Fresh + Fun” as that is exactly what it is- I don’t believe in stiff and posed shots. I believe in going out and getting my hands dirty! You’ll often find me doing whatever it takes to get “the shot” whether that involves crawling around on the ground or simply holding a treat. I use only natural light in my work as I love the fresh and organic look it creates. (and the beautiful catchlights in the eyes of course!)
